| Create the document in WordPerfect as you would normally do. Do not use columns or tabs as these do not convert to HTML very well, use tables instead if you want a column appearance. A standard common font will be compatible on the Web. Graphics in a WordPerfect document will be converted along with the text. | Have WordPerfect do the work of converting your WordPerfect document (step 1) into an HTML format. In WordPerfect, with the document loaded, select File, Internet Publisher, Publish to HTML. The commands may vary with the different versions of WordPerfect. You may also select File, Save As, then select HTML as the file type. | Create an HTML Web file that will serve as a 'template' for each series of articles like the AgAlerts newsletters. You may have several templates for different purposes. The Template file may include a logo with a standard header and a footer with additional contact information and links to other menus. | Insert the converted HTML document (from step 2) into the template file (step 3), make sure your cursor is where you want the information inserted. Make your final editing and use the Save As feature to assign the final name (do not use the same name of and replace your template file). You may want to use the same name you used in step 2 and replace that file with the finished product. | |||
