Marilyn Krogen

Marilyn assists with all aspects of small plot research, including preparing seed for planting, assisting in seeding plots, and preparing signs and stakes for plot identification. She helps with field notes such as height, heading and flowering dates, stand counts and fertilizer applied. Marilyn mixes chemicals for herbicide trials, prepares harvest tags, processes seed after harvest and records yields, test weight, protein, and oil samples. She also supervises summer employees in plot maintenance and assists the horticulturist when needed. For Field Day, Marilyn prepares the barbeque sauce, sets up and helps serve the morning coffee hour and the noon meal. |
