Mike Warner.jpg Mike Warner - Agribusinessman, initiator of new generation co-ops, and Red River Valley farmer was the featured speaker at the annual Bloomquist Lecture Series, April 4, 2001. Warner received a degree from the College of Pharmacy at North Dakota State University. His interest in farming and his belief in the possibilities of value added agriculture motivated him to devote his life to fostering food cooperatives in western Minnesota and North Dakota.  He was one of the original stockholders in American Crystal Sugar Company when it was formed as a farmer-owned co-op in 1972.  He has held many leadership positions at American Crystal Sugar, as well as the American Sugarbeet Growers Association.

Warner helped to start Dakota Growers Pasta Company, one of the top three pasta manufacturers in the U.S.

Warner has been asked to speak all across the United States on his hands-on knowledge of value-added agriculture.  We were pleased to bring Mike "back home" to share his expertise.
