North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station and NDSU Extension Service Policy
for Division of Facilities & Administrative Costs

It is the policy of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station (NDAES) and the NDSU Extension Service to divide facilities & administrative (F&A) costs based on the division of modified total direct costs (MTDC). If the division of MTDC changes, the division of F&A costs may also change.

The final rebate of F&A costs on individual grant projects will be done according to the normal practice of NDSU as indicated in Section 813, 6.6.1 of the NDSU Policy Manual. The policy states, "Of the indirect costs 42.0% will be allocated back to the generating colleges or units; 16% will be allocated back to Research Administration; and 42.0% to the Office of the President."
