Professional Experience
- 1969 to Present:
- Split appointment between North Dakota State University/University of Minnesota Extension Sugarbeet and Weed Control Specialist. Serves the sugarbeet industry in North Dakota and Minnesota. Operating expenses come from a check-off from sugarbeet growers and various grants. A 100% extension position from 1969 through 1995, but 90% extension and 10% research since 1995. Officed in the Dept. of Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University. Has served as a major advisor for 13 MS and 7 PhD students and is a leading expert in weed control and herbicide use in sugarbeet in North America.
