Lyle was with the flax improvement project for 42 years before retiring in Nov 2008.  Kreg was hired in March 2009 as a new member of the flax crew.  The last graduate student with the project finished in 1984.  Funds to support the project are very severely limited.  Much of the activities of the project are completed only with the assistance of Kreg and the project leader.  During summer (weed control) and fall (harvest) limited support is from part time student labor.
