AIDING IN THE COEXISTENCE OF SUSTAINABLE
AND BIOTECH AGRICULTURE BY MINIMIZING CONTAMINATION

 

 


     

This is a North Central SARE grant to foster discussion on how transgenic, conventional, identity preserved and organic agriculture and how might they best coexist within the state of North Dakota.

Members of the group include representatives from the biotech industry, biotech, conventional, identity preserved and organic farmers, university, organic organizations, and state agencies.

The objective of this group is to bring the stakeholders together for discussions on how the differing production systems may be able to coexist, recommend Best Management Practices and Protocols (BMPs) and conflict resolution.
