2007 Student Gathering

On September 5, 2007, Natural Resources Management, Entomology, Range Science, and Soil Science joined together to host the 2007 Student Gathering. The gathering was held in the Prairie Rose room of the Memorial Union and was open to all NDSU students.  The purpose of the gathering is to welcome new students and re-acquaint returning students with an opportunity to interact with campus departments as well as agencies from outside campus.

The event was attended by over 150 students, faculty and staff.  On hand were representatives from each of the departments hosting the event as well as a number of agencies, both on and off campus, to inform students of opportunities for employment, internships, and volunteering.

Agencies participating in the event were the North Dakota Forest Service, North Dakota Chapter of The Wildlife Society, River Keepers, the Minnesota Conservation Corps, USDA, and the North Dakota Climate Office.  The hosting departments also had displays on hand.

Door prizes were given and free posters were available to students attending.  Below are some pictures of the event.
