Trial Information:
Chickpea fungicide trials were conducted at Minot, Carrington, and Hettinger, North Dakota in 2003. The objectives of the trial were to evaluate fungicide sequence and timing for the control of ascochyta blight on six chickpea varieties that have varying degrees of ascochyta blight tolerance. Three large kabuli varieties were used: Sierra, Dwelley, and Yuma.  The small kabuli chickpea variety, B-90 (Amit), and two desi types were also included: Anna, and Myles.

The trial was planted May 13 into previous wheat residue at the center. The trial design was a randomized complete block with four replicates. Fungicides were applied with a CO2 backpack sprayer, equipped with 8002 twin jet nozzles delivering 20 gpa at 30 psi. JAU6476 is an experimental fungicide from Bayer.
