No-till Drill Tour in Washington. . .

Members of the DREC staff were involved in a fact-finding tour which looked at no-till drills in the Palouse region of Washington October 21 through 25.

The purpose of the No-till Drill tour was to learn about cross-slot opener technology and the current state of development. Also the tour allowed for participants to review no-till drills used at the Pullman ARS Station and discuss with a knowledgeable agricultural engineer the design of each drill opener viewed on the tour. Finally, participants could see the cross slot opener concept that was seen in the no-till plot drills at the Pullman Station in use.
