Monthly during the academic year; meeting notices are posted in Van Es Lab and Loftsgard Hall.

Goals

Provide information and activities related to biotechnology and foster communication among students and faculty who share an interest in biotechnology.

Major Activities

Speakers from industry, faculty speakers, social events, biotechnology-related fundraisers, high school outreach program, and trips to biotechnology companies (e.g., Madison, Wis., to visit Promega and Novagen), scientific conferences (e.g., American Society for Microbiology annual meetings in such places as Salt Lake City, Washington, D.C. and Orlando).

Membership Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate student, staff or faculty member with an interest in biotechnology.
