Chet Hill

Chet Hill is the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Area Extension Value-Added Specialist at the Williston Research Extension Center and housed at the Ernie French Center. The position is funded by NDSU and Montana State University - Bozeman Extension Service and the NDSU Ag Experiment Station. Chet’s primary program responsibilities are in northwestern North Dakota and northeastern Montana. Chet will promote and assist growers and others in determining viable markets for traditional and high value crops and raise awareness of the area agricultural product capabilities and uses. He will work closely with projects concerning agriculture analysis associated with research projects executed at Williston Research Extension Center.

Chet grew up on a farm/ranch operation near Lambert, Montana. He attended Williston State College and North Dakota State University where he received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Agricultural Economics. Chet served as the County Extension Agent in Roosevelt County in Culbertson, Montana.
