The North Dakota Journal of Human Services (NDJHS) has been created to provide a platform for critical inquiry into the important issues facing the field of Human Services in rural America.
Recognizing that rural states face challenges very different from those of the more populated areas of the county, NDJHS places emphasis on research that addresses topics of interest to human services professionals and consumers residing in North Dakota and other states with similar demographics.
The purpose of The North Dakota Journal of Human Services is to foster significant improvements in policy development, service delivery, management and education associated with the field of human services. The journal seeks to increase communication and understanding among practitioners, policy-makers, educators, researchers, and the public-at-large.
We invite you and your colleagues to contribute an original manuscript pertinent to the interests of both practitioners and theoreticians serving the human and social service needs of our society.
Manuscripts addressing a broad range of topics affiliated with the field of human services will be considered. The North Dakota Journal of Human Services seeks to provide a platform for scholarly discussion in the general areas of: aging; chemical dependency; children and family services; developmental disabilities; mental health; vocational rehabilitation; public assistance welfare reform; child support; and policy, administration, managerial, and technological issues relating to human and social services.
Manuscripts may be submitted at any time and all submissions are subject to peer review. For further information contact:
