MISSION
|
| The primary mission of this research center is to enhance net farm income through
in-depth trade and agricultural policy research for decision makers in private and public
sectors. |
| |
| The center focuses on economic research and outreach activities for the Northern
Plains region in the following areas: |
| |
 | Agricultural trade policies, multilateral trade treaties, regional trade
agreements, and cross-border trade issues in North America;
|
|
|
| Macroeconomic and agricultural policies, net farm income, and agricultural
competitiveness; and |
|
|
| Development of foreign markets under the changing trade environment. |
|
| |
| The center publishes annual outlooks for the North Dakota farm economy, the United
States and world wheat industries, and the United States and world sugar industries. |
