North Dakota is one of the Great Plains states, in the central region of
the country. Fargo is located on the North Dakota border, just across the Red River from
Moorhead, Minnesota. The conference will take place in the Fargo Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference Center, October 28-29, 2002. Single rooms are available in the hotel for $65 per night. Registrants must call the Ramada directly to reserve their lodging. A block of rooms is booked for the conference under the group name "CAPTS" or "Bioterrorism and Food Security Conference." Ramada Plaza Suites and Conference
Center Air transportation to Fargo is provided by Northwest Airlines and United Airlines. Visitors land in the northern section of the city at Hector International Airport, where they may rent a vehicle or take the airport shuttle to the Ramada. Because this conference occurs in late autumn, out-of-state visitors are encouraged to check Fargo's local weather forecast in advance of their trip.
