The Center for Agricultural Policy and Trade Studies, Bio-EPIC, North Dakota State University and Farm Foundation held a conference titled “Alternative Policies on Climate Changes and their Implications on the U.S. Agricultural Economy.” The conference assessed the impact of emerging climate change policies on U.S. agricultural production and farm income.

Specific issues discussed at the conference were:

(1) Potential impact of climate change policies on land use and food production
(2) Economics of Sequestering carbon in the U.S. agriculture
(3) Alternative policy options in reducing GHG emissions
(4) Emerging issues for the U.S. food and livestock industries

The conference was held at Ramada Plaza & Suites, Fargo, North Dakota on May 24, 2010. Thank you to all of our speakers and presenter for making this conference a success.
