North Dakota State University does not have an active Rye breeding effort and has not recently released any new Rye varieties. Seed production of Rye has occurred at ND Research and Extension Centers in the past and Foundation seed of some varieties may be available. North Dakota growers who want to purchase Rye seed can contact Foundation Seedstocks, Fargo, ND at (701) 231-8140 or the Research and Extension Center nearest them to locate a source of Foundation seed of public varieties.
