Buckwheat
North Dakota State University does not have a Buckwheat breeding effort and has not released any Buckwheat varieties. Foundation seed production of Buckwheat has taken place at ND Research and Extension Centers and seed of some varieties may be available. North Dakota growers who want to purchase Buckwheat seed can contact Foundation Seedstocks, Fargo, ND at (701) 231-8140 to help them locate a source for Foundation seed of public varieties.
