Ebeltoft Oat

Ebeltoft oat was released by the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station in 1999.

Yield of Ebeltoft in trials prior to release was very high relative to other named cultivars. Ebeltoft has good test weight.  Groat percentage is about equal to Jerry but Ebeltoft has slightly lower protein than Jerry. Ebeltoft is about six days later maturing than Jerry with straw strength better than Jerry. Ebeltoft has moderate resistance to crown rust and is resistant to prevalent races of stem rust.

Ebeltoft will be protected under Plant Variety Protection without Title V restrictions.
