Grasshoppers

2002 Crop Survey | Past Year Crop Surveys | 2002 USDA Rangeland Survey | Publications | Thresholds | Comments

Grasshopper counts reported by the survey are based on sweep net samples taken along field margins or in non-crop areas bordering fields. Survey scouts have been instructed to sample all crop sites visited, regardless of crop, since grasshoppers are a general plant feeder and could affect any of our North Dakota crops.
