Acres Harvested Respondents harvested 97% of their acres, up from 92% in 1995 and 81% in 1994. Acres harvested ranged from 96% in MN1 to 100% in MN5, and from 96% in ND1 to 99% in ND5 (Table 4). Micronutrient Usage Zinc, a common micronutrient for dry beans, was applied to 57% of respondents' acres (Table 5), which is the same percentage as 1995. A higher percentage (66%) of acres was treated by Minnesota respondents than by North Dakota respondents (55%). Most respondents made only one application of zinc, but a few made two or even three applications (Table 6). The number of applications was similar in both states. Respondents applied micronutrients other than zinc to 7% of their acres (Table 5), with a higher percentage of acres treated by Minnesota respondents (10%) than by North Dakota respondents (6%). Most respondents made a single application, but a few made two applications (13% in Minnesota and 3% in North Dakota) and a few North Dakota respondents (3%) made five applications of other micronutrients (Table 6).
