Better Close-ups

• Don't get closer than your camera can focus. This will vary from model to model - find what works best for you.
• A card or plastic bag can help deflect the wind. Use a clothes pin to clip the bag to surrounding branches.
• A light colored card can add light to a dark subject. A dark cloth or paper can become a background - behind a flower to make the colors stand out.
• Use your own built-in zoom - your feet. Frame your scene, then move in closer, then maybe step back or aside to change the scene.
