Research activities
The Barley Pathology Project currently has three PhD students working in the areas of fungal genomics relating to leaf rust resistance, molecular markers for septoria resistance and chemical methods of control of Fusarium head blight.

We will achieve our goals through the support of the development of cultivars with genetic resistance as well as development of cultural, biological and chemical management strategies that reduce disease.
