Symptoms
Light brown spots with distinctive, dark brown net-like patterns appear on the leaves. As they enlarge they join to form dark-brown stripes in a 'net' formation that distinguishes it from spot blotch.

Caused by: Pyrenophora teres

Control measures:

• Resistant varieties
• Reduction of weed hosts
• Reduction of continuous barley
• Reducing infected stubble
• Use of fungicides
