Improving Computer Performance

 

One of the most common problems with computers is that over time they tend to slow down. Below are a number of steps you can take to clean up your computer and restore some of the lost performance.

      1. Clean out temp files
      2. Uninstall unnecessary or unused programs
      3. Get your computer organized
      4. Set SPAM filters in your Pegasus mail and clean it out regularly
      5. Check your disk for errors
      6. Defragment your hard drive
      7. Update Windows
      8. Increase Computer Security
      9. Back up important files and data
      10. Update and run Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware programs
      11. Delete temporary internet files
      12. Set Windows interface to performance setting
      13. Remove notebook battery if it is plugged into an AC power supply for 4 hours or more.
