Grow 21: Enhancing North Dakota's Economy Through Agriculture
Over the past year,
NDSU Agriculture and University Extension staff have met with
numerous agricultural organizations, community leaders and
other individuals throughout North Dakota. Additionally, we
have drawn on the knowledge and expertise of the faculty and
staff of the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station
and NDSU Extension Service located throughout the state.
We asked people
to think about what they wanted for North Dakota's long-term
prosperity. What do they desire for North Dakota in 2025?
Repeatedly, their
responses came back to bright, prosperous communities.
Decisions that
are made now will affect farms, ranches, agribusinesses and
communities in 2025 and beyond. The success of these entities
is intertwined. Successful farms and ranches lead to strong
agribusinesses that support healthy communities.
The result of
these discussions is an organized approach for healthy North
Dakota businesses and communities for the long term called
Grow 21.
New technologies
and updated knowledge are vital for North Daktoa's future.
Through Grow 21, NDSU will focus on research and education
related to diverse and resilient economies, effective and
efficient infrastructures, and leadership in communities for
North Dakota's future.
