Bacteriological Testing Laboratories
The North Dakota Department of Health no longer performs bacteriological water testing on private domestic well water (drinking water) samples.
Screening for domestic wells will be done at the five laboratories listed below. The sample containers previously used for the North Dakota Department of Health water samples can continue to be used to send samples to all the laboratories.
The North Dakota Department of Health will continue doing partial and complete mineral analyses on water samples.

The partial and complete mineral analysis require a sample of at least one quart in a clean plastic or glass container.
NOTICE: These analyses generally take approximately two weeks to complete and mail out but on occasion may take longer due to heavy sample load and/or program priority.
