The 2006 MWPS (MidWest Plan Service) catalog is available. The free catalog contains more than 175 low-cost and free agricultural publications, some downloadable, from major U.S. universities, including North Dakota State University. The catalog also has a list of more than 100 free, downloadable building plans. This year's catalog features 17 new publications, as well as sale items.

Located at Iowa State University, MWPS is a publishing consortium of 12 U.S. agricultural universities and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Since 1932, more than 3.3 million MWPS publications have been used by agricultural producers, businesspeople, educators, regulators, homeowners and gardeners worldwide. Many MWPS publications have won the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers Blue Ribbon Award.
Topics in the 2006 MWPS catalog include raising and housing livestock; natural resource conservation; manure management; soil, air and water management; agricultural ventilation; storage of grain, forage and silage; farm business management; agricultural marketing; greenhouse management; farm and home safety; determining and maintaining water quality; and constructing and remodeling agricultural buildings, commercial greenhouses and homes.
